Inspired by its namesake gin Martini variation created for the opening of Death & Co Denver in 2018, the beguiling combination of pear and eucalyptus, along with pine and juniper, evokes walking through an alpine fruit orchard. At Death & Co, this cocktail is served straight from the freezer with a very small amount of added water to retain the rich texture and let the pear and eucalyptus flavors shine through. At home, you can do the same by multiplying this recipe up by 6, diluting it with 4 ounces of water, and freezing it in a 750ml bottle.

1¾ ounces Beefeater London Dry Gin
¼ ounce Clear Creek Pear eau-de-vie
1 teaspoon Mathilde Poire pear liqueur
¾ ounce Cocchi Americano
1 drop Terra Spice eucalyptus extract
Garnish: 1 lemon twist


Stir all the ingredients over ice, then strain into a chilled Nick & Nora glass. Express the lemon twist over the drink and discard.
