Bicicletta
The Bicicletta is Italian aperitivo culture at its most charming—easygoing, effervescent, and effortlessly stylish. Named after the older gentlemen who’d wobble home on their bikes after one too many at the local caffé, this classic is more than a playful metaphor: it captures a ritual, a pace, a lifestyle. Built with dry white wine, bitter aperitivo, and a splash of soda, it’s low-proof and endlessly sessionable. We value the Bicicletta not just for its balance and simplicity, but for the way it invites conversation and relaxation—proof that a great cocktail doesn’t need profundity to be profound.
Bicicletta
1½ ounces Campari
1½ ounces dry white wine (sauvignon blanc and pinot grigio work well)
Cold seltzer
Garnish: 1 lemon or orange half-wheel
Fill a wine or highball glass with ice cubes. Add the Campari and wine and stir briefly. Top with seltzer and stir once more.
