Tequila Sunrise
Too often dismissed as a syrupy relic of the ‘70s, the Tequila Sunrise deserves a second look—especially when made with fresh juice and a thoughtful balance of flavors. Our version stays true to the drink’s iconic visual appeal while dialing back the sweetness and adding a hit of lime for brightness. The result is juicy, refreshing, and just tart enough to keep you coming back for another sip. It’s a daytime drink through and through—best served with sunshine, shades, and nowhere to be.
Tequila Sunrise
2 ounces blanco tequila
4 ounces fresh orange juice
¼ ounce fresh lime juice
¼ ounce grenadine
Garnish: 1 orange half wheel and 1 lime wedge
Combine the tequila, orange juice, and lime juice in a highball glass, then add 3 ice cubes. Stir for 3 seconds. Add the grenadine and don’t stir so it will settle to the bottom of the glass. Garnish with the orange half wheel and lime wedge.
